The annual Father's Day fly in breakfast was held at the Dodge Center airport on Sunday. Some of the proceeds are donated to the Disabled American Veterans organization. The Mayo Southeast DAV chapter was on hand as well. They support veterans in the seven southeast Minnesota counties. Some of the programs they supported last year include food service for veterans, service dogs for veterans, archery group, goose and deer hunts, veteran homelessness and donor com=nnect for medical equipment. They also have donation boxes in the area for collecting items to be reused.
Jim Owens had his experimental plane on display and answered questions about the 110 hp small two seat aircraft he built and keeps at the Dodge Center airport.
