Beverly Marie Plevke

Beverly Marie Plevke, 97, of West Concord, died Monday, June 24, 2024 at Fairview Care Center, Dodge Center.

She was born January 25, 1927 in Northfield the daughter of Everett and Mabel (McEathron) Kleeberger. When Beverly was four, her family moved from Northfield to the West Concord area, settling in Ellington Township. She attended various school districts including Old Concord, Eagle Valley and District 75. She moved to Rochester at the age of 16 and worked at the Capital and Green Cafes as a waitress. On December 2, 1945 she married Willmer "Tom" Plevke in Zumbrota. The couple lived in Zumbrota for a short time before moving back to West Concord where Bev worked for Gladys and Hap Olson at the local restaurant, did the apron ironing for Maricle's Store, as well as laundry and house cleaning for local West Concord residents. Bev started work at the Faribault State Hospital in 1961 and retired in 1989. During that time she was very proud that she obtained her GED in November of 1970. After retirement Bev continued to work part time waitressing and was a Hospice volunteer.

Bev was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the West Concord American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, canning, sewing, embroidery, bowling, painting, reading and scrapbooking.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Hartman of Kasson, Phoebe (and Murali) Srinivasan of Shakopee, Paula (and Charlie) Giesler of West Concord; grandchildren, Heather Schandorff, Darrin (and Carrie) Giesler, Greg (and Calli) Giesler, Brian Giesler, Joseph (and Kelly) Kvam, Jacob Kvan, Samantha Srinivasan, Shawn (and Holly) Busby; great grandchildren, Taylor and Kennedy Schandorff, Gavin and Addison Giesler, Corbin, Cale and Gretta Giesler, Urijah and Londyn Giesler, Samuel Kvam, Arianna Winkel, Ed and Sam Remine and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Plevke; daughters, Penny Royle, Prudi Giesler; brothers, Roger Kleeberger, Dahl “Pete” Kleeberger, Billy Kleeberger; sister, DeLores Gillard.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church, West Concord with Chad Christensen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to West Concord American Legion Auxiliary.
