Dodge County, MN – The United Way of Southeast Minnesota is proud to announce $20,000 in Community Resiliency grants to four Dodge County-based programs. These grants are part of a broader effort to bring United Way 's vision across a larger service territory.
Over 200 community members shared their stories of life in Dodge County to inform the Community Resiliency grants. Each grant was awarded to a program addressing one of four community needs identified through recent listening work: transportation, housing, healthcare, and community resource navigation.
United Way is investing in the following Dodge County programs:
1. Improving Transportation – Dodge County Salvation Army’s Transportation Assistance program increases transportation accessibility for residents throughout Dodge County, with a special focus on those living in rural areas.
2. Supporting Housing Stability – Kasson-Mantorville Care Share’s Fund provides rent assistance to families facing unexpected financial crises, supporting housing stability in partnership with local organizations.
3. Increasing Access to Healthcare – NAMI Southeast Minnesota’s Dual Diagnosis Support Group expands healthcare access by providing free, peer-led programs for individuals living with mental illness and substance use disorders.
4. Navigating Community Resources – Semcac’s Kasson Contact Resource Center provides in-person navigation services, helping Dodge County residents connect with local programs and services.
These Community Resiliency investments enhance United Way’s ongoing multi-year commitments to health, financial security, youth opportunity, and community resiliency.
