Kasson-Mantorville FFA

The Kasson-Mantorville FFA chapter has fifty members including students in the seventh through twelfth grades. Mollie Allen is the chapter advisor.

The chapter was chartered in 1958, and has very much changed over the years. They have continued to grow and evolve providing many opportunities for the K-M chapter members to experience.

The chapter has two Region 8 officers, Ambra Andrist and Ella Aarsvold.

They hosted a corn maze free to the community in fall 2025 using our school corn plot. This served as a chapter fundraiser and community event.

In fall 2025, they continued the annual Feed the Farmer, where the students make 250 lunches and bring them to farmers in the dodge county area during harvest. The K-M FFA chapter also hosted a grain drive in fall 2025 and collected grain from farmers in the area this is used as a chapter fundraiser to help support students throughout the school year.

Currently there are state qualified teams in Dairy Cattle Evaluation, Livestock Evaluation CDE, Floriculture, Companion Animals and Meats Evaluation. Two members competed in farm bureau discussion meet. Ambra Andrist Placed 1st in the state.

The K-M FFA chapter is currently planning their annual Ag Day dinner, which is scheduled for March 26. The event features a meal for area agriculture education supporters to show appreciation to them for the support through-out the years.

In 2025, a group from the K-M chapter traveled to the National FFA Convention & Expo.

Six members of the K-M chapter won FFA jackets this year through the Minnesota FFA Blue Jackets Bright Futures program. The winning students were Nessa Santjer, Ruby Kellogg, Brody Hulst, Karlie Gangl, Maddi Heeren and Cora Holtz.

The K-M FFA Floriculture team offered a 2025 holiday arrangement for sale to the community as a fundraiser to support their learning. They will continue to design and sell various arrangements throughout the year.
