Emily Fox drew her final breath in the early morning of November 2nd, 2026, at the age of 30 years old. After more than a year of battling with brain cancer the Lord granted her respite from her hard fighting to sleep peacefully for His return.
She was a cherished daughter, a brash but ever-caring sister, an incredible wife, and a truly wonderful mother who imposed strict rules with bottomless compassion. While her time was cut short for this lifetime, she will be remembered for her incredibly strong will, her quick-witted responses, and the talent to do anything she felt inclined to try. Emily loved to spend her time baking, gardening, or crafting. But more than anything, her sole purpose in her last years was to share with her children her love for Jesus.
She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Fox and their three children, her eldest son Azuriah, her only girl Elora, and her youngest surprise Gideon; mother, Marjorie Downs; father, Benjamin Waagen II; siblings, Nick (and Emma) Waagen, Nathan (and Gwen) Waagen, Hannah (and Ty) Raupp, and Lindsey Waagen; her paternal grandparents, Benjamin Waagen I and Amber Laurent; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Dodge Center Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Joel Kratzke officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A private interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja.
